Resumen

BLANCO ASPIAZU, Miguel; MORENO RODRIGUEZ, Miguel Ángel; HERNANDEZ AZCUY, Osmín  y  SAMPER NOA, Juan A.. Percepción del valor diagnóstico de la anamnesis, el examen físico y los análisis complementarios por internos de medicina. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2003, vol.32, n.2. ISSN 0138-6557.

The interview is the most important method to obtain information of diagnostic value; however, it is used in practice with little efficiency. A way to go deep into the causes of its misuse is by studying how the sixth-year medical students perceive the relative diagnostic value of the questionnaire, the physical examination and the complementary tests. To this end, a survey was done among the 57 interns of the 1998-1999 course so that they reflect this value in percentages for a group of 13 entities and in general. Values of 67.2, 20.8 and 11.8 % were given, respectively. The students had a wide variety of criteria. These results coincide with those of the foreign studies. They denote, due to their great variability, a predisposition to use such procedures efficiently and stress the need of an educative work directed to develop abilities to interview as an initial requirement in the good use of the next steps, mainly physical examination and complementary test.
