Resumen
YERA LOYOLA, Lourdes Elena et al. Hemodiálisis arteriovenosa continua en el paciente crítico. Rev Cub Med Mil [online]. 2004, vol.33, n.2, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3046.
Seventy nine patients with acute renal failure and admitted to the intensive care unit were studied. Two independent groups were formed to be treated with continuos arteriovenous hemodyalisis (n=10) and conventional hemodyalisis (n=10) respectively. The objective was to show the advantages of continuos arteriovenous hemodyalisis in the critical patient. The lowering of creatinine values was statistically significant in continuos arteriovenous hemodyalisis but recovery of the renal function was more rapid in patients treated with the slow continuos method. Ultrafiltration resulted to be higher in continuos arteriovenous hemodyalisis. The recovery of the renal function was the main cause for interrupting the treatment. The higher number of complications was found in conventional hemodyalisis. It was confirmed that continuos arteriovenous hemodyalisis offers better treatment choices than conventional hemodyalisis in the critical patient.
