It was intended to make a practical English manual translation for the health personnel working directly with patients coming from English-speaking countries that received attention in Cuba through the so-called "Miracle Plan", as well as others that are given medical care in different internationalist missions. It is a preliminary project that emerged from the reflection and practical experience of the translation and interpretation service of the Military Medicine Information Center of "Dr. Luis Díaz Soto" Higher Institute of Military Medicine. 50 workers, including nurses, technicians and personnel of other categories, were surveyed. 47 of them (94 %) conisedered that this manual would be useful to improve their work, since it would substantially facilitate the elementary communication between this health personnel and the patienets, which World increase the quality of the medical services.
