Abstract

The importance of the treatment of values in the attainment of a better performance of the health sector staff, specifically in the hospital activity, starting from the correspondence of the strategy defined by the National Health System, the values declared at this level and at the level of "Mario Muñoz Monroy" Military Hospital, were analyzed. . Methods and techniques such as. observation, questionnaire, documentary analysis, and group dynamics were used. It was proposed a procedure for the formation and development of the workers' values contributing to the achievement of an excellence service, according to the objectives and principles of the Cuban Revolution, based on three fundamental planes: the established, the objective, and the subjective; and the working out of general strategies and actions that may be implemented in the organization as part of such procedure, which is applicable to the different levels of the Ministry of Public Health, as well as to any national body or organization of the country or of another nation.
