This paper focuses on the need of building an analytical system for the evaluation of policies oriented to economic and social targets in the Cuban economy, considering its peculiar characteristics and frequent policy instruments. For that, an analytical framework is proposed, taking into account the following elements: a general equilibrium accounting framework that articulates real and financial flows, a system of satellite accounts consistent with the base data for specific analysis, a system of parametric equations that incorporates thevariables of the macroeconomic model, and a sub-system of conjuncture analysis as a very-short term correction tool. Finally, the analytical benefits of this approach for the evaluation of the Cuban macroeconomic behavior are shown through a group of simulations.
