The evolution of the farming sector in France required co-operatives to create groups of companies with a coperative status, upstream production, and private companies, downstream. This article presents the specificity of the Coperative Governance. The co-operative groups associate partnership governance of traditional co-operatives and the corporate governance of the subsidiaries in a hybrid mode of governance that caused an identity crisis.
