Abstract

PEREZ MORFI, Deborah; NUNEZ PAULA, Israel  and  FONT GRAUPERA, Elena. Globalization and Local Development, a Methodological Proposal of Information and Knowledge Management. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2016, vol.157, n.2, pp.107-119. ISSN ISSN.

Within the globalization frame, information and knowledge society creates a very strong competition environment in markets which determine the emergence of new needs in the local enterprises in order to fit to the environment's changes, so the strategies locally designed and their actors gain a very important role. Cuba has not been alien to the dynamics worldly experienced, thus we consider the present paper to be proper as it intends to reflect about the relation existing between information and knowledge society, conditions that pave the Cuban way to this knowledge society, the link between the local development and globalization, and latter to deal with some ideas about the elaboration of an information and knowledge management methodology that accounts for the emergence and development of local businesses.

Keywords : local development; globalization; information society; knowledge society.
