Abstract

SANCHEZ MACHADO, Inocencio Raúl  and  LEDESMA MARTINEZ, Zulma María. Efficient Investments: Role of the Investment Process under Cuban Conditions. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2017, vol.158, n.1, pp.127-139. ISSN ISSN.

Cuba needs to expand its economy up to rates higher than the ones that have been obtained during the last years, which have represented an unsolved problem of the revolutionary project for more than half a century. The boosting of the accumulation rate is essential to this aim. Efficiency of the resources intended for investments has been pushed backwards according to the rates awaited and demanded for changing the economic reproduction schemas. With a view to raising efficiency levels of investments, as well as the efficiency of the investment process as a whole it is essential, among other actions, that the pre investment studies are characterized by the personalization of each work object. Training of professionals in charge of elaborating such studies constitutes a challenge on which Cuba has to keep on making progress.

Keywords : growing and investment; allocation efficiency; public finance.
