Resumo

This paper summarizes the theoretical conceptions defined for the new Cuban economic and social Model. It also warns about how difficult is to implement the economic reform. The main objective of the paper is to propose an approach for teaching “Political Economy of Socialism”, which develops the ability of critical reflection in University students, instead of the assimilation of theories which validity can be limited to historical changing context.
