In Cuba, there is a paradigm shift in business, and as a result, the country’s social and economic development relies not only on the state sector, but on small businesses as well, also known as entrepreneurship. And there is a pressing need to innovate, so Cuba will be able to develop in today’s conditions. However, how can an organization build a culture of social innovation? It is well known that values generate and guide behaviors of people within the groups they belong to. That is why it is necessary to articulate organizational values for social innovation. A model which permits to get an insight into the relationship between values, behaviors they generate, and social innovation is presented. An idea that became a social innovation is discussed, by taking into consideration the values of the person who had it.
