Abstract

Universities contribute to social progress, economic growth, and cultural development to a large extent. Nowadays, universities in Cuba and all over the world are trying harder and harder to improve the quality of the processes occurring at them. For universities to be able to develop, and comply with their social responsibility it is essential for them to achieve total material and financial security, so fundamental activities at universities could be performed properly through the appropriate use of human, material, and financial resources, which will benefit living, working, and studying conditions at universities. This paper is aimed at showing the situation of total material and financial security in Cuban higher education institutions between 2009 and 2018.
