This paper aims to characterize the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in Central America, showing its difference with Latin America and pointing out the negative economic growth forecasts and government laws approved through the integration of information and offered by organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean and the Central American Integration System, which predict a shorter period of economic recession but a high social cost for the sub-region.
