The change from one model of accumulation to another does not occur automatically, nor does one abruptly supplant the other, but rather it is a process that is accompanied by dissimilar events of a global character that introduce the necessary bases for capitalism to reconvert itself in its moments of "crisis". This paper aims to synthesize the main features that have characterized capitalist accumulation in the last fifty years; particularizing the most important characteristics of the model of global accumulation, especially those that define the modes of international insertion in the present, within the framework of global value chains.
