In Cuba, there is a study with projections aimed at overcoming the economic crisis accentuated by the current pandemic. That is why; although several concrete measures are proposed in the work, it does not constitute its central objective. The fundamental thing is to reevaluate the prevailing axiom in socialist economic orthodoxy on the impossibility of economic crises in socialism. As for several reasons it has been a taboo subject, little tackled by the political economy of the socialist transition, in this approach questions predominate more than answers. Economic crises or stagnation, under various official classifications, although different from capitalist ones, has been present in all socialist experiences. Therefore, what it is about is to find the internal causes inherent in the heterogeneous social reproduction and not to rest the analysis and, therefore, the measures, only on external and conjectural causes.
