AMOROS RODRIGUEZ, Armando. The Role of Trade Support Institutions and their Experience in the Internationalization of Cuban MSMEs. Econ. y Desarrollo [online]. 2023, vol.167, suppl.1 Epub 02-Oct-2023. ISSN 0252-8584.
Trade support institutions (TSIs) play an important role in the development of foreign trade for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). These organizations, due to the wide spectrum of their activities, enable greater access to markets, availability of commercial information and facilitation of technical and administrative procedures related to trade. Over the years, the number of TSIs has grown, as has the diversity of their functions and activities. The work of the TSIs in Cuba in favor of business internationalization is still insufficient in its structure, practices and functionalities. This text constitutes a modest investigative contribution that serves the reader to know the particularities and importance of the TSIs in foreign trade. In turn, it describes and characterizes the work of these entities to promote international insertion, especially of Cuban MSMEs.
