Currently, organizations must face numerous risks, given the multitude of activities that are carried out daily in a dynamic and uncertain environment, which makes it necessary to improve management models in order to achieve improvements in their organizational performance. The objective of the proposal presented is a risk management methodology based on ISO 31000 standards in a science, technology and innovation entity. Several methods and techniques were used that allowed to move from the analysis of the theoretical and conceptual foundations that allowed to present the methodology, emerging as an instrument to coordinate and carry out the necessary actions to reduce vulnerabilities to prevent, mitigate, attend and recover negative effects.
