Abstract

The veterinary education in Cuba began on April 10, 1907, when the Free School of Veterinary Medicine of Cuba was founded. Pregrade, postgrade and research training in the Faculty have passed by different historical periods according to the social economic formation. During all these years of revolution, the Faculty has carried out an international cooperation strategy with institutions of different countries from different points of view: pregrade teaching-learning process, postgrade organizing ways and international cooperation in the field of researches. In the present work, a retrospective analysis of the main results of the Faculty international cooperation strategy was carried out in its centenary, using a logical historical study which allowed to analyze the object in its development and contradictions.
