Abstract

The study discusses how processes management can be also applied to Intellectual Property work, identifying the interrelationships among opportune actions to be developed. General indicators for evaluating the effectiveness of the Intellectual Property Internal System (IPIS) were identified, which allow to measure compliance with the established national and international regulations to fulfil in the Industrial Property work. The results show a substantial improvement on the evaluated indicators: from the requirements identified in the checked guide to comply, only 24 (33.8%) were completed and 43 (60.5%) were not, after the IPIS application a total of 65 requirements were fulfilled (91.5%) and 5 (7%) were not; the use of industrial property information, the preparation and management of protected results plan or «portfolio and intangible assets» and the evaluation of the IP aspects in the national or international cooperation agreements, as well as marketing agreements. The use of copyright rules and the introduction in the organization work on business secret. This has given an effective management of Intellectual Property in CENSA as a result of the created system operation.
