Resumen
BOLIVAR, Ana María. Methodology for the diagnosis of haemoparasites in the bovine livestock with emphasis on the polymerase chain reaction and its multiplex alternative. Rev Salud Anim. [online]. 2013, vol.35, n.1, pp.1-9. ISSN 0253-570X.
In the detection of some hematological agents that compromise the health of cattle, direct parasitological and serological methods have been more frequently used, very often questioned for their low specificity and sensitivity, in addition to the time spent in their performance. For these reasons, the diagnostic alternatives PCR and its multiplex variant are discussed in this review as alternative detection systems for their high degree of reliability, in addition to the time and resource savingfor the understanding of the dynamics of haemoparasitic infections.
