SANCHEZ-CASTILLEJA, Yolanda Margarita y RODRIGUEZ-DIEGO, Jesús Gregorio. Identification of histological lesions coinciding with Neospora caninum in bovine fetal brain tissue. Rev Salud Anim. [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.1, pp. 00-00. ISSN 2224-4700.
In order to establish the histopathological diagnosis of Neospora caninum in bovine fetal brain tissue, belonging to Tizayuca, Hidalgo, a probability sampling was carried out by notifying stakeholders. The recovery of 35 aborted fetuses was achieved, to which histopathological tests were performed by haematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining. In 40 % of the samples, the results showed lesions as multifocal encephalomyelitis, with characteristics including necrosis foci surrounded frequently by mononuclear inflammatory cells, focal gliosis, congested blood vessels and tissue cysts in three of the samples analyzed
