Abstract

BROOKS BELTRAN, Idalmis. Notes on North American Policy Towards the Middle East. UH [online]. 2014, n.278, pp.167-174. ISSN 0253-9276.

During the last years, North American policy towards the Middle East has been characterized by determining which actors play the role, and to what extent oil and gas resources in the region participate. In this sense, the definition of this wide area has changed, depending on the interests behind the statements whose only goal is to control one of the richest energetic zones. Parallel to the richness in the area, this has been marked by conflicts, encouraged from within and outside. The present article aims at unveiling the motivations behind the North American actions in the region.

Keywords : oil and gas; conflict; scenario.
