In the article, which is based on the examination of the speech given by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro on the 17th of December 2005, the author presents the primary premises from which he analyzed the main challenges faced by the Cuban society in that historical context. As a result of the this study, the author briefly examines, in ten aspects, the most relevant lessons that standout from the critical analysis of Fidel with regard to the main problems, difficulties, mistakes and present inadequacies in such context. The elucidation of each of the presented lessons, allows to highlight its extraordinary validity and relevance for the present and future of socialism in Cuba.
