The article presents analyzes the ideas of speech by the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro in the auditorium of the University of Havana in 1995, words to young people warning about the need to generate very clear ideas, find ways to preserve the revolutionary legacy, not only constitute a call to duty to assume the historic responsibility that corres-ponds to the youth, but calling attention to the urgent need for new ideas, that would mean little scattered and unconnected to ensure the viability of socialism in Cuba and thus the defense of its own national project, defending the independence and national sovereignty, protecting the interests of the people. It is then the need to work and develop the theoretical foundations of socialist construction in Cuba from the praxis itself.
