The present work is inserted in the area of ​​Educational Psychology and taxes the research line "Training and professional development" of the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Havana. Its main objective was identify the academic performance of the students of this institution until the 1st semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. In addition, the demographic, academic and socio-family factors that influence high and low academic performance are characterized. It was concluded that, as a trend, students who are currently studying Psychology at the University of Havana have a good academic performance. It was shown that the demographic factors (sex, socioeconomic level), academics (income source, study plan and academic year) and socio-family factors (level of education and current occupation of parents, access to technological resources and distance between the place of residence and the university) influence academic performance.
