This article is an approach to the category work as cultural value. The study has the objective to analyze the content Cubans workers actually associate with the work as "stimulus word". This exploration is particularly necessary in the context of economic and social updating model Cuba lives today. In this process one of the criteria to route the changes is the preservation of the essential values of the Cuban society project. Among this values to preserve and renovate is found work humanistic value. This study probe the validity of the Marti ideas in this sense and it is one tribute to his engagement with Cuba, Nuestra America and the all Humanity.
