Abstract

Asbtract: This work is part of the research results, of the Creativity Group for the Social Transformation of the Center for Psychological and Sociological Research (CIPS), in the Project: Public-Private Partnerships for Solidarity (APPS), National CTI Program: Local Development. The purpose of this article is to assess the business strategies of CNAs in the municipality of Centro Habana based on local development during the 2014-2017 period. The main results point to the existence of notable differences in the business strategies of CNAs in the municipality of Centro Habana and their contribution to local development. Among the deficiencies found are the legal framework, the lack of support from the municipal government, the orientation of the strategies to maximize the economic benefits and the detriment of the social ones, and, lack of contribution to local development.
