Marxism among the Mexican intelligentsia has been a constant. From a review of some relations between the world of culture and this conception, an experience of normalization in the academic space is approached. It is about the full incorporation of Karl Marx's work as critique of political economy in the curriculum of the Bachelor's Degree in Economics of the Faculty of Economics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, after a process of politicization of university students. An evaluation is made of the type of Marxism that was read and assumed as critique of political economy based on its main expositors.
