André Marcel Voisin was a French scientist who dedicated his studies to agriculture, especially the use of soils and livestock. Fidel Castro, Cuba's prime minister, knew of his existence and invited him to the largest of the Antilles to, through his lessons, introduce his technique of rational grazing. Thus he arrived in Havana without imagining that it would be his last trip. This essay proposes an analysis of Voisin's contributions and his theory to Cuba from a perspective of application and management of science. To achieve this purpose, the historical logical method and analysis of documents were used to make an assessment of the subject.
