The “2030 Agenda with the Sustainable Development Goals. An opportunity for Latin America and the Caribbean” (2015), recognizes as part of its objectives that quality education is the basis for improving people's lives and the sustainable development of society, a reason that has been present in education Cuban as a platform to achieve that achievement, with which Higher Education Institutions are committed. In this sense, the accreditation process of the doctoral program in Educational Sciences of the Universidad de Oriente previously led to the self-evaluation of the impact of said program from the application of a strategy that allowed to fully reflect the transformations produced in the training process that account for the contributions to the specialty and the economic, social and cultural development of the territory or country, the significant and lasting changes that occur in the professional, scientific and human performance of graduates and the influence they exert in the context Social. That is why the purpose of this work is to reveal the impacts that the doctoral program in Educational Sciences of the Universidad de Oriente evidenced in the process of accreditation of its quality from the self-evaluation strategy applied until obtaining the category of excellence.
