PAZMINO YCAZA, Gilberto Antonio. Artificial Intelligence and Copyright Law. UH [online]. 2023, n.298  Epub 01-Dez-2023. ISSN 0253-9276.

This paper explores the impact of information and communication technologies, digital networks, especially the Internet, on copyright law. The technological progress in Artificial Intelligence has allowed the growing use of algorithms in various processes of artistic creation, sparking controversy over the authorship of the creations achieved through it. Thus, this paper argues and defends the idea that it is not possible to transfer, not even metaphorically, the condition or quality of author to the machine that gives rise to the result similar to a work through so-called Artificial Intelligence, because it makes no sense to recognize the moral and economic rights inherent to such condition, to something that is neither a natural or physical person, nor can exercise them as such.

Palavras-chave : information society; author; copyright law; artificial intelligence.
