JOMARRON HERRERA, Roberto. The aestheticization of politics in the sociopolitical project of the Bolivarian Revolution. UH [online]. 2023, n.298 Epub 01-Dez-2023. ISSN 0253-9276.
This article attempts to draw attention to how the sociopolitical project of the Bolivarian Revolution, headed by Commander Hugo Chávez, had as one of its fundamental pillars the phenomenon known as the aestheticization of politics, that is, the use in the exercise of government of elements, codes, springs, signs, etc., of an aesthetic and artistic nature that contributed, to a great extent, to strengthening the process of identification of the great majority of the Venezuelan people with the essential proposals of this project. Today, the study of this phenomenon within projects of a socialist nature constitutes, for social sciences, in general, and for political sciences in particular, which are developed from a progressive, socialist or left-wing perspective, a necessity and an urgency that cannot be postponed, given the overwhelming push of a kind of cultural recolonization that for several years has been designing and concretizing towards our Latin American peoples from the centers of global hegemonic power The study of the phenomenon of aestheticization of politics within the total work of Commander Chávez becomes an effective reference and a powerful tool of resistance and combat against these recolonizing attempts.
