Current university should necessarily assume for ethos the dimension of the production of new knowledge, which though it can be found (to a certain extent) in higher education centers' research plans, many of their research guidelines are not precisely prioritized. Thus, scientific research works, though useful, do not go beyond the purpose of being the "instrumental reason" that solves production or services' concrete problems. The present article explores the university work in the midst of international scientific production scenario.
