The present article is aimed at presenting a systematization of the conceptual grounds of the learning styles' characterization. As from the study performed, it was possible to systematize the most important theoretical positions related with this topic, and to determine its historical development trend. Moreover, the paper analyzes the influence of the diagnosis of the learning styles when using educational strategies during the learning-teaching process. During the research, the historic, logical, analysis, synthesis, and sources criticism methods were used.
