During the last two decades of the 20th century, and in the early 21st century, mathematics education has undergone a very important development, either qualitatively, as well as quantitatively. Such teaching has as its main objectives: to look for coherent explanations as to how students learn mathematics, and to generate teaching-learning proces´s proposals that can satisfy the purposes declared in the CV of the future Agro-industrial professional. This work is introduced, as from educational experiences in mathematics in the teaching-learning process, the formation of students in the Agro-industrial engineering career. The main results evidence the direction of the math studies towards the development of the student´s necessary skills to get a first approach to the method of design, such understood as the typical way of an engineering professional´s performance
