This paper presents experiences gained by teaching biotechnology as part of degree programs in Industrial Engineering, Forest Engineering, and Agronomy. Biotechnology includes such elective courses as Elements of Biotechnology, Micropropagation, and Biotechnological Processes taught by the staff from the Center for Plant Biotechnology Research in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of Granma. Majors offering such courses, number of teaching hours, types of lessons, and knowledge system are also presented. Student performance, assessed by using final grades, showed a better performance of Industrial Engineering students, with them getting such a good grade as an A in Biotechnological Processes.
