Due to the complex formation of psychological configurations; complexity in social relations; transformation, development, and evolution of society; and individual-society-environment interaction, this work examines the strengths of Vygotsky´s concept of Social Situation of Development, and its connection with personality development from a Complexity perspective. Four units of analysis showing the complexity in personality development are analyzed on the basis of psychology and Marxist philosophy. The units are as follows: 1) space-time continuum; 2) the relation between experience, the law of negation of the negation, and complexity; 3) the relation between lifestyle, personality development, and complexity; and finally, 4) value formation, its complexity.
