The potential of information and communication technologies, the need for graduates to be given a continuous and updated training, and for research activities to be stimulated have caused postgraduate curricula to be prepared and implemented in virtual learning environments. Virtual learning environments have brought back to the discussion of traditional face-to-face teaching methods, putting emphasis in their shortcomings, and ways of overcoming them. New teaching theories have been elaborated; new educational platforms have been created; lots of pieces of research into innovations have been carried out. This paper is aimed at theoretically evaluating interactivity in virtual learning environments for postgraduate education.
