Nowadays, recording accounting events is essential in training future accounting professionals. Certain knowledge, skills, values, procedures, and performance are required for it. This is why a research into how to contribute to the acquisition of the skill at recording accounting events as part of the Accounting and Finance degree at the University of Matanzas was carried out. A teaching strategy in three stages -diagnosis, planning-execution, and assessment using methods and tools, was adopted, and the proper way of recording accounting events was theoretically and methodologically analyzed.
