This paper presents the results of a study of cheating on texts at such educational institutions as the Cuito Cuanavale University, Republic of Angola, during the academic year 2018. A sample of students and academics was surveyed and interviewed in order to obtain information about their views on cheating on texts, ways of preventing it, disciplinary measures to be taken, and reasons and conditions for its occurrence whose frequency over the last three years motivated the study. Some ways to prevent it were suggested; experts considered them to be convenient and adequate. They were validated by students and academics over the academic year 2019.
