This article aims to characterize the metacognitive ability of organization in the student body of the Universidad Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Chile. The study was conducted with a sample of 302 individuals, from four different degrees. It was evaluated by means of the Inventory of Metacognitive Abilities from the Likert scale of 52 statements. The results show high percentages of approval, being understood that they present ability to structure times, objectives, goals, tasks or proposed activities. Students are characterized by their metacognitive organizational skills, since they show evidence of applying strategies that allow them to adequately manage information.
