The article presents a bibliographic review on the continuous training of teachers in community outreach in order to reflect on the subject. The methodology is based on the review and analysis of specialized literature where it was found that there are researchers who address the continuous training of teachers in teaching and research, as substantive university processes, however, so far, they have not been found significant contributions regarding this type of training, in community outreach, being this so necessary due to the role it plays in the university-society link. The conclusions address the need for continuous training of university teachers to provide them with knowledge, skills and tools that contribute to perfecting their professional practice, in order to raise the quality of the teaching-learning process and, therefore, of the student in their future professional performance.
