HIDALGO DE PAZ, Armando; GONZALEZ DEBEN, Marta y QUINONEZ CEBALLOS, Alfredo. Acción del campo magnético de baja frecuencia en la cicatrización de la piel. Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 2001, vol.20, n.3, pp. 178-183. ISSN 1561-3011.
To determine the effect of the low frequency electromagnetic field on the wound healing process, 30 inbred white Balb C mice distributed into 6 groups were used. The first two groups served to find out the standard characteristics of the intact skin, with use or non-use of this agent. The other 4 groups served to determine the macroscopic and microscopic particularities of animals´skin after it being wounded and applied a magnetic field with a Helmholtz coil whose frequency is rated at 60 Hz and intensity at 100 G.Therewere no changes in the intact skin by action of this agent but evident histological changes in the speeding up of the repair process in the healing area could be observed in animals subjected to the magnetic field
