Resumen
BORGES SANDRINO, René S.; RODRIGUEZ DELGADO, Rolando B.; SOLIS CHAVEZ, Santiago y LOPEZ REYES, Alberto S.. Some reflections on ethical aspects related to the models of moral responsibility in the practice of general surgery. Rev Cubana Invest Bioméd [online]. 2006, vol.25, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1561-3011.
A prospective critical study with social character was conducted with the participation of the surgeons from “Dr. Carlos J. Finlay” Military Central Hospital. Two surveys with problematic situations reflecting the models of moral responsibility in surgery were done. Of the surveyed, 80 % showed lack of knowledge about the ethical control of the situations presented, obviating the models of autonomy and beneficence for their analysis. Only 20 % had an adequate ethical thinking to face these situations. It was proved that most of them base their decision making just on their medical knowledge. There was no uniformity of criteria in the ethical control of the situations analyzed by the surgeons participating in the study.
Palabras clave : Moral responsibility models; autonomy; beneficence.
