Resumen

OBJECTIVE: The objective of present study was to relate the Helicobacter pylori infection in dyspepsia patients and in HIV+ patients. METHODS: The total of study patients was 60. We used the Microwell ELISA technique to determine the IgG by Biomerieux H. pylori. Endoscopy reason in the 100 % of patients was a epigastralgia. The mean age was 43,5 years with predominance of male sex (66.6 %). RESULTS: According to the endoscopic diagnosis the following results were achieved: duodenal ulcer 0 (0.00)/5 (16.13 %), gastric ulcers (6.90 %) / 2 (6.45), non-ulcerous dyspepsia 51, including chronic gastritis 27 (93.1)/24 (77.42). The serology in HIV+ patients was: IgG + 15 (51.72 %) IgG 14 (48.28 %) for a total of 29 (100 %) in HIV- was: IgG + 19 (61.29 % IgG- 12 (38.71 %) for a total of 31 (100 %). TCD lymphocyte levels 4+/mm 3: Total of HIV + 28 (100 %) and for IgG + Helicobactger pylori 14 (100 %). CONCLUSIONS: There is a urgent need of continue these studies using broaden population designs, as well as in the future to seek solutions for the problem related to more effective therapies and with vaccines.
