A prospective and descriptive lineal study was conducted in the health area # 31 of the "Mario Muñoz Monroy" Community Teaching Polyclinic from January to May, 1997. 200 persons were equitably divided into young and aged people. Data connected with age, sex, occupation and educational level were obtained and tabulated by a simple randomized method. It was possible to determine the satisfaction degree of the surveyed persons in their interpersonal relations, among which acceptance, cooperation and mutual help stood out. Reference is made to the image the young and aged people have of their families and to their interest in cooperating with them. It was also known where the young people think the elderly are more necessary and viceversa.
