Resumen

GONZALEZ HERNANDEZ, Teresa  y  ROSADO PADRON, . Anna. Uso del condón en estudiantes de enseñanza técnica y profesional. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2000, vol.16, n.1, pp.40-45. ISSN 0864-0319.

To prove the importance of the use of condom in teenagers and young people, we carried out a research work using a sample of 150 students from the senoir years of "Martires de Guanajay" and "Fe del Valle" polytechnical schools in Guanajay municipality. These students were polled to gather information and data were grouped by dependent and independents variables which were computed by the percent method and then organized into tables, thus achieving the results that are shown in th papaer. One of these is that contraceptive used by a couple is often chosen by the man. The majority of male students said they do not use condon because it reduces sexual pleasure during intercourse and that they do not feel at risk of catching venereal diseases, so we concluded that these students have not received an adequate sexual education to change their behaviours and we recommended to improve it so as to turn the use of contraceptive into a sex mechanism of sexual stimulation and avoid considering it as an uncomfortable and unpleasant method.

Palabras clave : CONDOMS; SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED DISEASES; SEX EDUCATION; STUDENTS.
