GUZMAN CAYADO, Meidis; PEREZ MESA, Dania  y  BOFFILL GARCIA, Isabel. Conocimientos de los facilitadores sobre la educación permanente. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2001, vol.17, n.3, pp.158-162. ISSN 0864-0319.

Providers play an important role in continuing education, since they are in charge of developing this program. Taking this into account, we proposed ourselves to find out what providers know on this topic, which was the main goal of this paper. The main difficulties were also identifed and recommendations were made to solve these problems. As part of this descriptive study, an anonimous survey was done among the 14 providers of "Ciro Redondo García" Hospital and its results were taken to percentage tables and were graphically represented in bars and pies. It allowed to conclude that the providers know about the topic of continuing education, since most of the surveys were correctly answered. Besides, it was observed that the greatest difficulty is related to the moments of continuing education , since 42.86 % gave a wrong answer to that question. The recommendations made are connnected with the solution to erradicate such difficulties and to increase, this way, the scientific and technical level of the nursing personnel and to improve the comprehensive attention given to the people.
