Abstract

AMARO CANO, María del Carmen. The gender approach of the health inequities from the Bioethics point of view. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2005, vol.21, n.1, pp.1-1. ISSN 0864-0319.

This paper makes an analysis of the health inequities seen with a gender approach from the point of view of Bioethics, a discipline that establishes a bridge between man and his social and natural setting to the light of the moral values. Starting from the definition of health inequities and how they are reflected in the case of woman, the treatment given to women along history is exposed, making emphasis on the aspects connected with sexual and reproductive health since adolescence, and making also reference to abuse, mistreatment and violence to conclude with the theoretical debate about the fundamental ethical principles, or of prima fascie, whose violation affects women doubly.

Keywords : Gender; inequities; Bioethics.
