Abstract

Two decades took place from that in the International Congress of Nurses hold in Seoul in 1989 arise the idea of to count on a common language for Nursing. The International Council of Nurses receives this initiative and in 1991 nominates a group of nurses to lead the development of an International Classification of Nursing (CIPE); proposing a project in which were involved some countries: Chile among them and started the search the means to achieve this aim. In this presentation are formulate the different stages until its onset and the development of this project sing the Chilean experience, specifically in the Concepcion nurses group. This article comes into view from a lecture tendered in the XII Pan-American Congress of Nursing Professionals hold in Mexico City and its aim is to expose the ten years of trajectory of CIPE project in Concepcion, Chile.
