Resumen

VELEZ BENITO, Gladys Amélia  y  SCHWABE FRANZ, Marisa. Permanent health education. Reflexions in the perspective of integrality. Rev Cubana Enfermer [online]. 2010, vol.26, n.4, pp.267-279. ISSN 0864-0319.

This article approaches the issues that reported to the theoretical referential of a Master degree paper and, as of now, it intends describing these concepts and make a few reflections on the Permanent Health Education (Educação Permanente em Saúde - EPS) both as a strategic policy of the Brazilian Unique Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde _ SUS) and as a conceptual view looking also through the principle of the integrality as an axis that guides the Brazilian health policy. Thus, one perceives that the educational actions in the working processes of health professionals in Brazil are fundamental for the re-organization of the health professional practices with focus on the education based on the actual needs and/or problems that occur over the day-to-day routine so that they learn how to make proper decisions as to each situation from the health context of each municipality, place and region. The entire discussion is placed on the prism of the integrality consolidation starting from the strengthening of permanent educational actions.

Palabras clave : Integrality; Permanent Health Education; Health.
